Hello Peter and Barry.Happy New Year to both of you and your families. Yes, but I hope that this year's 2010 is a better year for all of us with ALS, and may be a cure or medication may be on the horizon.
Barry, I thought the same as you about my lung capacity, in July, when I was diagnosed. I was 110%, now around 55 to 60%. For quite a while, I been have been getting, muscle cramps and twitching in my stomach muscles. The stomach muscles have become weaker, and after all these years, I now have a protruding stomach and none of my jeans or pants will do up, " what a bugger, from slim to chubby in six months" not to worry life still goes on, and Lyn says there's more to cuddle.
Barry the BiPap machine that I have has a full mask, like you are used to sleep with my mouth open, and Lyn said they were use to snore like a train going through a tunnel. I don't believe, I never heard myself snoring.
Anyway, goes all the best of the new year hope to hear from you soon.
Garrylee.
