  • Hi Naeco, was wondering if the hyperparathyroid issue has been resolved with success? reason is, I believe my friends long term undiagnosed hypercalcaemia lead to her ALS and once the gate is open it may not be able to be closed or can it?.
We have a wildlife consulting company that does environmental impact studies for our clients (primarily open pit coal mines) so we use MapInfo to produce habitat and animal observation maps. We usually use an aerial photo as a base and place our habitat polygons and observation locations on the base and put the map in our report to the client. I have used both MapInfo and ArcGIS and believe me MapInfo is WAY easier to learn and to do EVERYTHING than ArcGIS. In fact somethings that I can do in MapInfo ($2000) I would have to have ArcInfo ($25,000) to do. What version of MapInfo are you running? I use V8.0.
Hello Naeco, I am sorry but I completely missed it when you said that you used MapInfo. I must say that it is nice to find another MapInfo user as I have used it for about 10 years and only resort to the dark side (ESRI) when I absolutely have to. It just shows the power of marketing when an inferior product dominates.
