  • Yeah I agree with Dr Lou just told me yes you have progressive bulbar palsy and here is meds for drooling and a prescription for Rilutek and sent it to a drug store in Chicago, IL. When I went back to be poked more I told and he laughed. I do not like him at all. You have Kaiser insurance right see if the ALS center in Providence is PPO with the insurance. I bet they are. Take care and HUGS
Yes Providence has the best center for ALS in the state. I saw Dr. Lou for a second opinion, I wasn't impressed with him. We have kaiser and it's ok but not as good as providence. They should all go to what Providence has. See the doctors all in one day instead of going multiple times! I am pretty stable right now, bulbar onset and that is still the worst area. I have a peg for nutrition.
    Hugs, Cathy
Hey Cathy how are thing going with you??? Yes I went to Providence in Portland, OR. Where are you at. Dr. Goslin and Lance Christensen a counslor started the ALS center. I see 5 to 10 different doctors every clinical. I first went to Dr. Lou at OSHU but realized the program is better at Providence that there. You May want to ask your doc about it. Hugs xxxxx Teresa
I have Kaiser and see Dr. Stigler. I can't do the drug trial because my fvc is below 70%. I am pretty stable for now, which is good. Fell and broke my arm but I tripped over a board so not ALS related really. Be glad when it heals as my hands are weak. How are you doing?
