I class additives like Riluzole in the Can't Hurt Department. I can't verify if it helps, but it can't hurt.
A friend who I see once a year recommended Prevagen (apoaequorin) which claims to improve memory. He said it calmed the spasticity in his voice, which he had since young. It is derived from a chemical in some jellyfish.
I have no stake in the stuff other than as a buyer.
