Again, thank you to all who responded To my questions before.

Long story short, have had twitches for months with fatigue and muscle shaking on a daily basis.

Have seen a few neuros, and had a 2 EMGs and all have came back normal from what they've told me.

My question is, that when the clinical exams and EMG tests were done, my twitching was at that time where it was very minimal. So minimal, that the second Neuro said she didn't even see them on the EMG. But now, in the last week or two, the twitching has been pretty much non-stop, all day, and it can be felt all over. But, it has been mostly in my legs. Calfs and below, to be exact.

Being that these twitches are way more prevalent now than they were a couple months ago when I was tested, is it worth calling my Neuro back and making another appointment? Or would be sltue testing still be sufficient even though it was done months ago? I don't have any weakness that I can notice. I can still walk on my toes, heels, etc..

I understand you all aren't doctors and can't make a diagnosis, and I'm truthfully not here for that, but would appreciate anything info you all might have.

Thank you!

I will add, that I have read the stickies. And they are very detailed and I'm not trying to ask a question that was answered there. If I am, I greatfully apologize.

No, it is absolutely not necessary.

Twitching means NOTHING. You really are clear.

Anxiety and stress is making your twitching worse at least that what happens for me

Hope you all had a Happy Halloween and upcoming Thanksgiving!

I am waiting for my neuro follow up next week. Just have another question. And again, I apologize if I am coming off bothersome to anyone here. I just truly value everyone's opinion.

I still have the twitching throughout, primarily in my legs. But along with this, I have started to notice some other strange symptoms.

My hands, in particular my right thumb, seem to be lagging behind. I am, forgive me, a millennial, so I text pretty much all of my conversations. I have noticed the occasional " twitch pop" in that area, but have not FAILED to do anything with it yet. Something that could be worrysome or related?

And along with that, I have the strangest new symptom of all. I find myself throughout most part of the day, feeling as if I could start crying any second. Like I get that tear welling up feeling, and I can stop it before I ever physically burst out into tears or anything. And, I will not be thinking about anything sad or happy to justify it. I will just be typing at the comport, and feel the sensation coming. I know that these symptoms have been related to ALS, along with many other diseases. But, in ALS in particular, would it be this early of a symptom? Could be an anxiety thing even though I don't "feel" anxious?

Thanks again,
-M.

Not everyone "feels" stress and anxiety like most people. I personally always deny feeling stressed or anxious, even when my muscles get so tight I need a valium. Perhaps you just don't know that you're anxious.

To answer that, I ask the question: What has recently changed? Married? Friend in jail? Trump get elected? You might discover that you've got several perfectly good stressors ripping you apart.

I am guessing that you now imagine you have emotional lability.

I have to tell you that this is the biggest problem here in this section. You people trawl and read everything you can grab, and then with no medical understanding start imagining how you can match things up to medical terms.

What you describe is NOT emotional lability.

What you describe with your thumb is NOT ALS.

Let it go mate, you don't have ALS - celebrate or stay anxious, but elsewhere. If you have a neuromuscular specialist result to come and report that is fine, but otherwise your straw grasping for a match needs to stop for your own sake.

Thanks for the info Mike!

As traumatizing as the election may have been, I don't see that being my problem! Lol!

I don't mean to step on any toes at all. I greatly apologize!

I will visit my neuro next week, and if something comes up, I will report back. Thank you for your time and responses.
