Breathe.
Ok in 2010 I reported to my doctor that my left foot twitched a lot but would stop once I'd start moving. I reported sporadic twitching throughout my body as well but not nearly as much as in the foot. I was worried about als then but for some reason I relaxed and the fear went away. If I had twitches in that time they just didn't bother me much.
January 2014 - September Present. My left foot is twitching non stop and vibrates, this is bilateral. when I flex my foot (toe pointing towards ground) my foot locks and the twitching feels like bugs crawling. Worse with exercise but non stop. With twitches in my calves, thighs, arms, shoulders several per hour.. Possible tongue but I chalk that up to anxiety. My calves twitch a ton actually probably most right now.
Clonus? - Very shaky legs, when I get on my tippy toes and bend it's like ankle leg has a mind of it's own and wont stop shaking. This has been going on since at least January but I only figured out how to really activate it - by bending my knee and applying pressure to my tip toes - on both feet. What in the world could this be? When I try to do a leg press at the gym my legs shake ridiculouslly, if i try to squat down i have very porn balance on my tip toes.
EMG report
EMG exam of lower extrems reveal fib potentials with mild chronic denervation changes in the tibialis anterior bilaterally. MildChronic denervation in left tensor fascia and bilateral medial gastrocenmius.
Conclusion
Consistent with bilateral LF SI radiculpoathy on both sides. Ongoing mild chronic denervation were noted in ll5 s1 myotomes bilaterally.
Needle emg of right upper extremity, cranial innervated and midthoraic did not show evidence of mn disorder at this time.
no evidence of large fiber sensorimotor polyneurapathy
But I worry. Why Twitch 24/7 in my feet, almost as much in my calves, and regularly all through my body. This with chronic denervation. And the clonus like ankle movement? Next he ordered an MRI on my neck because my knee reaction was brisk and neck pain.
Thanks for responding, I've been reading this forum for months. Wanted to wait until I got an EMG. Was hoping it'd come back "clean" but it's a little dirty lol. Appreciate anyone who actually read through this!
