Hi everyone , I'm starting too get concerned as I have started twitching on my left arm and left leg, I can't feel any twitches on my right side and also my right arm looks smaller than normal. I've no weakness or anything and do all my day too day stuff but this has really concerned me that this a a first symptom of MND.

Any advise would be appreciated

Many thanks

Best advice is leave here immediately and start living.

Twitches are not diagnostic of anything.

Please, truly just go see a doctor and live your life and don't even reply here again.

Ditto that!

I'm sorry if I have offended anyone but I'm worried and are twitches a first symptom of MND

I can't see any weakness or anything.

I won't post on this thread again, but I will repeat what I already said. D O C T O R that's my last word.

I was at the doctor last Friday and mentioned the twitches but the doctor wasn't concerned but they have gotten worse but could it be because I am thinking about them all the time .

Of course the doctor wasn't worried. Twitches are only diagnostic of too much caffeine, too much anxiety, too much stress, fatigue or Rx meds. Which one are you suffering from?

If you had read the Sticky (as you were supposed to), you would know that twitches are not a first sign of ALS. They are not a second sign of ALS. They are not a third sign of ALS. Get it?

Oh, yes, twitches getting worse are diagnostic that you are thinking about them all the time.

You do not have any signs of ALS. Get off the internet. Stop looking for some fatal disease and go live your life.

We are not doctors. Please take up their time and not ours. We aren't going to give you any type of diagnosis. You aren't showing us any respect by not reading the stickies either. Go enjoy your life. Kim

The more you think twitches, the more you'll have twitches. Psychosomatic. It's a fact. The mind can play crazy tricks on you. You don't have ALS.

Twitching + Dr Google = ALS forums .

Hi everyone sorry too be back here but I'm going out of my mind with worry. The twitching has got massively worse and I've been calm and stews free. My right ankle is like something running around under the skin very fast going from 1 point to the other and both my lower eyelids are twitching along with my arms and legs. Don't know what too do been back too the doctors not concerned at all but I know my body better than anyone and something is telling me something ain't right .

Read the sticky. Follow the link about bfs. Read their info and then read their forum
The symptom of generalized twitching should be leading you there. And if you are not satisfied with your medical opinion go back. But go with an open mind not with the thought of MND but with the symptoms and what could they be?

May God bless you and keep you close to His heart.

Well -- Several of us have tried to share our experience with you and your fears.

The consensus seems to be that you need to resolve your issues with medical professionals and/or do not have ALS.

We do empathize with your fears, but there is no more we can help you with at this time.

This note is not to deter you from your investigations, but just not on this forum.

You asked, we answered, so please move on.

If you think you have a motor neuron issue, see your Primary Care Provider and get a referral to a motor neuron qualified neuro, note: most are NOT ALS/MND (Motor Neuron Disease) experienced!

Anxiety can be a real problem that can endanger your physical health. Make sure you tell your medical practioner what you are feeling as well as how you are feeling.

No need to reply. Goodbye and best regards.
