Hi Zac. You have a few good things going for you. First your age. ALS is not usually found in people in our age group. Not usual but possible. Secondly for your symptoms to be as bad in only 3 weeks sounds like something else. Where are you from and have you seen a doctor yet? AL.

i live in mobile al and i have seen an internal doctor wich said he doesnt know what is wrong with me so he set me up with a nuroligist for tomorrow.i know that now even when i sleep that my legs hurt really bad but it is more like a bad acke than anything else and they twith all the time by the way thanks for the response i pray that its not als just a lot of signs that im worried about.

Hello Zak, hope things go a little better for you today. It is unnerving, I know, to wait for a DX. The problem is compounded because so many of these conditions mimic one another. That's one reason why it takes a long time to figure out exactly what is going on. I've been at it now for 5 months. The best I can tell you is to try to stay calm and let the doc's run the tests and wait for the results. Try to distract yourself with friends, hobbies, a good movie, anything that helps you relax. Cindy

thanks cindy i have my first nuroligist app. tommorrow ill let you know how it turns out and i hope you can find out what the problem is with you also ill say a prayer for you tonight.

Thank you Zac. I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow. It will be intgeresting to see what tests they propose...By the way, have you had an MRI yet?

no havent had anything done yet just a bunch of bloodwork at the doctors office done.i failed to mention that my mom has ms these just dont seem like ms symtoms that ive read about though.

So you understand how difficult it is to live with a debilitating illness. That must increase your concerns for you own health. Does MS affect your Mom's abilities very much? BYW, good luck today at your appointment.

yes i do at one time when i was a teenager my mom could not walk are hardly speak it was horrifik.i didnt understand what she was going through but now i think im begining to understand moms got a good hold on it now she works and is happy most of the time.as for me i hurt in my legs and arms last night and could not even sleep its geting worse i hope that the doctor has some ideal.i hope you have a great day and ill let you know what they say.
