Hi, thank you for taking time to read.
I have been having to clear my throat every minute or two and also have a hoarse/croaky voice. This has been going on for around 7/8 weeks.
I also feel my swallow is slower. I’m able to eat and drink. I’m not sounding drunk, just croaky. The doctor did some strength tests of my mouth but has sent me to a neurologist who I am due to see in may.
I’m 36 female.
Does this sound like bulbar onset?
I’m a mum of three little ones and am very anxious x

It does not, but I do not know if/what weakness was shown. I would want to explore GERD, allergies, dry mouth/throat, and/or a specific throat problem. While you are waiting for the neuro appointment, I would ask for an ENT referral.

Best,
Laurie
