Hello all!
Just looking for some input, and maybe to check how aggressively I should pursue medical advice?

A couple days ago, I woke up with twitching all over my body. The twitches last for a second or so, then move on to another body part. This only happens at rest.

I'm 35, and very active. I haven't perceived any other symptoms.

I visited my PCP who checked my reflexes, and noted that I was slightly spastic. She sent me to the ER for a blood test for electrolytes, and a MRI of my brain and neck.

The ER says that my neck has some compression, but not enough to cause these issues. My electrolytes checked out.

What do y'all think?

Hello-

Please make sure to read here: Read Before Posting to get some more info. Twitching absent clinical weakness can mean a whole variety of issues. Clinical weakness is the hallmark symptom of ALS. When you you say "slightly spastic", what did your doctor specifically say?

She didn't really elaborate, just said my reflexes are super response to the hammer test.

Too much research has gotten me pretty wound up about it, just like everyone else I'm sure.

This is not slightly spastic- it means you have quicker reflexes, which can be a normal variant and can also occur when someone is feeling more anxious.
