Hello and thank you all for what you do here. I am writing from Sweden so I apologize for my English in advance.
I am a 39 year old female who is very worried about symptoms that might be pointing towards ALS.
My symptoms began in August with numbness in fingers in right hand. Lasted for about a month. Shortly after that went away i started feeling that my ringt hand was weak. I had trouble opening bottles and jars and i had trouble snapping my fingers. (This is slightly better now but maybe i just learned a new way to do it).
A month ago my right thumb started to twitch. A few days later my triceps and forearm started to twitch. And now, a month later i have twitches all over but most of them (maybe 50 percent) still in my right hand and arm. The twitches can easily be provoked by tapping the muscles. And this is what concerns me a great deal as i have read that this is the case with ALS fasciculations but not with benign fasciculations? Can this be confirmed?
I have a feeling of lactat in my forearms whenever I use them and sometimes at rest. I have had a normal EMG done two weaks after onset of fasciculations.
So, what do you all think? Does this sound like ALS?
Thank you all for lovely support.
