For 120 days I have had stiff bilateral calf muscles and bottom of feet when I walk especially when I first get out of bed. I have fasciculations in both calves and occasional twitches in other parts of my body.

For past 30 days my forearms muscles are mildly stiff and my fingers are bit stiff. My shoulders feel weak as well as my legs. No drop foot. When I carry books etc in my arms my shoulders burn. My upper legs feel week now for past two weeks.

My onset in calves was symetrical and is chronic. My upper body has been symetrical in terms of onset. Is this typical for ALS? I was carry a weed sprayer in my yard today and my shoulder was burning. why"

My board certified neurologist examined me physically on july 12 and previously on june 18 and said I do not have any signs of ALS after checking my babinski, Hoffman reflex, my tongue, my leg and arm reflexes all normal. Blood worked show all good except for my crp was 0.97 high and DNA ds was 10.

My question - if my neurologist tested me physically after having leg stiffness for nearly 4 months should I be concerned for ALS or should I have confidence in my doctor's pysical examine.

Many thanks for your concern and insight
