Hey, Weird, I don't like that ad, either. But I use adblocker, so I never see ads. (I thought EVERYONE used an ad blocker

)
Let me help a little.
First, however, I'm a little surprised that you, a PALS, would ignore how ALS affects someone, even a mod. They're working pretty hard for many hours, largely behind the scenes fixing stuff. Some of them can't work a keyboard because they're paralyzed. If you're full of energy and able to type with little effort, maybe you could make the report yourself?
Second, if/when a post doesn't show immediately--the system sends "posts with links" to a queue for mod approval. If a mod is on duty at the moment, and is not engaged in another task, they'll get to it. They sleep, too, and have clinic appointments, and sometimes, simply need a break.
The policy of "you saw it--you report it" makes a lot of sense. It does two things:
#1 First, it gives the user--you--the power to fix a problem that you want fixed.
#2 Second, it places responsibility on the one who is both empowered (see #1) and motivated (complaining). That makes sense.
You were invited, nicely, to take an active role in the forum. Not many forums will give a user such an opportunity.
So, since you are motivated and have been given the power, perhaps you could help the forum out by making that report as suggested.
Let us know if you would like help with anything.
