Max, onset for him is tricky. Fascics started about 4 yrs before diagnosis. Looking back he says he was feeling weaker for a long time with more fatigue before he was diagnosed. When he really noticed things...June 2013. Breathing difficulty, shortness of breath, muscle cramping on a regular basis, difficulty sleeping, waking with headaches sometimes. He was diagnosed May 2014. Started riluzole the day after diagnosis.

Steve can still speak but his breathing makes it difficult....same with eating. He is eating. He can eat a pretty wide variety of food still but it drains him so mostly he is.eating soft food.....and smoothies. He always has a drink/smoothie in his hand.

>He always has a drink/smoothie in his hand.

6 x / day :)

He has one now max! Strawberries yogurt, etc since the fruit flavors go down best!

i got one more week to go to get a lab test. i guess that will tell me how the riluzole is doing so far.

I have never seen a reason not to take it. Any chance of help is better than no chance of help.

that's what i was thinking. what do i have to loss from it.
