MNDireland,

I'm so sorry to hear of all the difficulties your mum is experiencing.

The discolouration may be a sign of poor circulation. How awful for her to be going through all this. Can she move around at all to get the blood moving to her hands and feet?

Hi sral, she can move her arms and feet, only slightly. They are both very weak, but we do exercise them a bit. They are not cold all of the time, and sometimes can get hot. It is all down to circulation I think. Her hands and feet dont pain her, but her arms and legs do.
We got the patches. Put it on last Thursday, 5 days now. They are working but they are a low dose and she still has some pain so they may think of increasing them. It says on the box that every 30mins they release a small amount of morphine induced pain killer into the blood. Lying on her arms at night still make them sore, but she cannot lie on her back due to breathing difficulties. Now the patches have caused constipation and stomach pains...... What next?

We need more meds for them now.... tablet after tablet after tablet!
