Does anyone know what the actual odds are of a person getting ALS under the age of 35? I have noticed that a lot of people on this site are under the age of normal onset for ALS which I thought was 50-70? I know the odds for that age group is like 2 out of 100,000.

CB.

The mean age of onset is 50 (from what I've read). The younger the age, the less likely the chances of ALS. I've read the majority of cases occur between 45-65.

Someone else may have better info.
