So I went to see my GP 2 days ago.I told him about my fear of having ALS or something deadly. He did a about a five minute neurological exam on me.He doesnt I have ALS because he said I dont show any evident signs. He can't confirm this though.I'm going to see a neurologist hopefully within the next two weeks.

I'm a 19 year old that is generally pretty healthy but still concerned because ALS can strike anybody.

Symptoms are

Weakness in arms, hands, legs, and my feet

Pain in my hands, wrist, and fingers

Burning sensation in shoulders

About 15 months ago I noticed a sudden onset of the symptoms I described above.

They were generally pretty mild.

About 8 days ago I started having extreme weakness in hands, fingers, and arms.So I am now worried this could be something serious.I have lost my grip.It doesn't feel as strong as it once was .When I drive my foot feels strange. There is like some kind of weakness there.I feel this weakness more when I count coins. Its hard for me to hold coins in my hand and drop them one by one.

Any thoughts ?

This is your third thread - as we asked you previously - Please keep it to one thread. Why? Because many of us PALS find it easier to follow.

You see neuro in 2 weeks - relax until then and enjoy Christmas and New Years.
