For the most googled health concern this year.

We meaning ALS not the forum.

I am sure some were researching after seeing a story about it affecting or killing a famous person or because someone in their real life was affected somehow. Still I think there must have been plenty of the other kind of googlers

We were ahead of so many infinitely more common conditions.

Sad really though awareness is good

My housemate told me about this yesterday. He was very excited.

I know there have been TV programs and movies with PALS but awareness and understanding are two different things. At least we're moving in the right direction.

Neurologists and Neurological Centers couldn't be happier with Dr. Google. :)

Many do not require a referral from a PCP anymore. A PCP wouldn't risk liability
not to refer.

EMGs and NCS aren't cheap procedures.

Obesity is to Orthos as Anxiety is to Neuros. :)

PS. Merry Christmas and Hope to the New Year.

Interesting fact, Nikki. Quite concerning as it tells something about the draw of tragedy for some folks. Quite reassuring as I know many friends and colleagues who read up on the disease after my boyfriend's diagnosis.

Al, neat comparison regarding obesity/anxiety.
