Veteran disability benefits for those with PLS diagnosis.

For those veterans diagnosed with PLS (vs ALS) below is link to a recent appeal where a Veteran, who had previously been turned down for benefits based on a diagnosis of PLS (vs ALS), was awarded disability benefits for a PLS diagnosis. In the past, Vets have been turned down for the ALS benefit IF the diagnosis wasn't "pure" ALS. That is changing - if you have been turned down and missed your appeal "window" it appears as though it can be reopened based on the PLS diagnosis. I hope this is helpful to some.
