I had posted previously a few months back and have been consistently monitoring my situation and being in contact with a neurologist since then. I tried posting on my original message but believe it was closed. I am continuing to have twitching and muscle loss. What I have noticed is that I have beau’s lines on one fingernail and a few toe nails. I’ve read this can be from an Illness. The neurologist is monitoring me but we know this can take time and I have only had one emg in July. Does anyone know if beau’s lines is any indication of als or of some other illness that was maybe missed? Thank you for any advice.

Previous thread Very confused.

I don’t see why the mechanisms of ALS would cause this. As always see your doctor when you have a concern

No, ALS does not cause Beau's lines. General illness questions, such as yours, really need to be addressed with your doctor. It's unfair to ask the terminally ill to try and diagnose your health issues.

Take good care
