One of my neighbors is on 30% disability and convinced me to go with him to sign up in 2005. I was draftee during VN, but not in theater, therefore I didn't qualify because I wasn't low income. I would have qualified if I had signed up before 2002. Dunno what it is today.

Poor, 65+ yo vets who were in country can qualify for a small pension; is this what you're referring to... ?
