I have already felt the impact of this, Al. I get a med from about 30 miles away by mail. It is over a week late, no explanation.

Also, cards and letters to and from Canada, where I have friends/relatives, are already taking weeks longer than last Christmas.

We must push hard to expose this Administration for what it is.

I have been getting my meds from the VA/USPS for decades and never had a problem.

Me too.

Maybe not in your part of the country but in other parts it's begun
to happen. Being from Mo is far different than the heavily Veteran
populated states like Florida, Arizona, Texas, California, North and
South Carolina. Rural state Governors, Republican and Democrat
are speaking up. A brave thing for Republicans.

At least one Veterans Organization (Gulf War - Iraq War - Afghan Vets)
have spoken out and says it will. All package mail will be effected.
Now there are more Republicans bravely speaking out against this too.

Unfortunately, Veteran concerns are a political concern and even more so
now. Every year the VA Budget has been a political battle.
This is a Veterans sub-Forum, I hope political discussion too... isn't taken
away.

When our meds are late and the Administration is making changes to the USPS for political reasons, I consider it an important topic for this forum.

Moreover, the current Administration is a problem for those of us with ALS. I suspect that's why a PALS spoke at the DNC.

I'm so sorry you're having to be your own advocate as well as care for Ann.

You'd think when they changed the program, they would have automatically issued new cards and contact information.

Our whole health care system is a mess. People don't even know their benefits, doctors keep shortening our visits, and all we hear us a bunch of blah blah blah from the Administration.

I did... do you have a reading problem? Many have made mistakes on this Forum.
I can't recall any admitting or apologizing... they just let it go. But... I have.
Do you consider me "weak" for doing so? Please answer that question.

Ok, move my last reply there but don't just delete it. I didn't start it so I had a right
to respond accordingly.. I hope you can recover it.

A PM to me first... would have been the proper approach.

The Forum sub-forums have slowed down considerably lately... maybe over
moderation is the reason. Most threads now are answered by Moderators (you)
often almost within minutes of being posted.

When I post something the "Views" on a topic jump. Some may not agree but
many do agree... but maybe it's the atmosphere now of the Forum many
are reluctant to "Like" fearing of being in disfavor with you and the other
Mods.

Again, move my reply to this thread to Rants & Raves if that's where you believe
it should have been.

And... it was useful to point out what the Commander in Chief said about a
true hero... John McCain, a POW, Veteran and Senator. All comments I made
were on video proof. For sure a Veteran subject.

The only person who should be apologizing to vets is their commander-in-chief. Frankly, I don't see how any military family stayed with this guy after he said John McCain wasn't a hero because he was caught. John McCain was the paragon of heroism. On the other hand, Mr. Shin Splints is a coward and a fraud. Just my opinion, of course.

Recent polls among active members of the armed forces show a slight preference for Biden over Trump (see link below), which is the first time in the 40 years I've been following politics that I can remember a Democrat having a preference with that group. Perhaps the remarks about "losers" and "suckers", as well as ignoring the evidence about Russian bounties on the heads of American GIs, have been too much to take.

45 lost all respect from me when he mocked a disabled person. The fact that he is a white supremacist, misogynist, nationalist, anti-immigrant, homophobe just makes it worse.

To call people who gave their lives for our freedom losers and suckers just shows his character is continually being exposed.

My brother died in July from COVID. I’m sure you can guess my level of disdain for our current president, especially after today’s revelation that he’s purposely been down playing the virus.

I too lost a dear friend to Covid unnecessarily. I can honestly say my disdain for that man started long before Covid. Come on November 3. I hope everyone exercises their right to vote.
