Using a cane?

I used a trekking pole for over a year until my grip weakened. The pole grip height and wrist strap was better than the lower cane height grip because it kept me upright at the waist. Bending over or leaning on the cane was an invitation to unbalance my center of gravity and fall. I could stand and lean on the pole to rest, with a two hand grip close to my chest for stability, while I could not with a cane due to the lack of leverage and the tighter footprint.
