- Learn about ALS
Sorry to bother you all again. Just wanted to reach out again since my previous thread was closed. But I have another question. I recently had a EMG/NCS performed. That's 2 about 9 ish months apart from each other and was normal. I have a question. The neurologist who performed my EMG said in 32 years he'd never seen someone who was twitching and it was lower motor neuron or muscle disease related and it be normal. He said I didn't have anything to worry about since there was no change so many months apart. The study was found to be normal and no evidence of "anterior horn cell disease, mnd or any other neurodegenerative process" My two questions are, does this rule out mnd? Specifically like SMA and PMA I know those types are rare and they bring fasiculations. But wouldn't my EMG be abnormal if my fasciulations were related to sma or pma? Thank you in advance.
