My doctors acknowledge that I have some form of neuromuscular issue and its not just anxiety. I am getting weaker and my appointment with another neuromuscular specialist is in November. I am not pursuing an ALS diagnosis but I want to know what i have . I may have something treatable and that's the main reason why I am not giving up! I am inspired by the kind and generous people in this forum and I hope you all are living your lives to the fullest!

Welcome and best wishes in November. If you need inspiration while you wait out just visit the forum. Positive thoughts sent your way.

Let's hope and pray it's not ALS.
Wishing you all the best for your appointment.
Keep busy and the time will fly.
God bless, Janelle x

Nikki ....Sorry for starting a new thread! I am feeling very distressed because of the left sided facial muscle weakness! I have intense pain in my gums and teeth on my left side! My next appointment with a neuro is in November and I really feel helpless!I cannot chew anything and not eating well these days! Pain meds are not doing anything for me.I know that pain is not a typical symptom of ALS . In fact, I am not even assuming that I have ALS. But i do have weakness and pain. I just wanted to vent here as I really don't know where to go! Thank you for just being there and take care of yourself!

Autum, you are right, the pain and weakness that you describe do not sound like ALS. Please relax on that score.

Call your neurologist. Ask if you should see them as you suspect it is related to everything else or go to your pcp in case it is something else. If you are suffering you need to be seen by someone sooner.
