I asked my doctor at als clinic what kind I had. He said
what do you mean its all als it just starts of in dif. ways.
I didnt like that answer much but I guess hes right.

Not a very good answer, if you ask me! Seems like he'd want you to be educated about your disease. A knowlegable patient would be easier to treat, I'd think. Maybe you should ask again! Cindy

Hi Davis ,I agree with Cindy ,you should ask again,..only I would ask a different doctor....In reference to these conditions they are all MND.s.,not necessarily all ALS.Is your doctor a neurologist specializing in Als/Mnd.s.What an inane coment to make..but then again after my daughters experience I have come to the conclusion that a lot of doctors need to take courses in sensitivity, among other things.The doctor(s) that diagnosed her pretty much told her (after 2 visits) you have ALS..accept it!(Live with it ) Thats what did it for me ,I will never again take it for granted that a doctor is right just because hes the "doctor".Cindy is right ,the more informed you are the better it is to understand what you are dealing with, as well as enabling you fight it better.Manfred
