Tremor in ALS?

My mother with bulbar als has had what doctors have said is an essential tremor for several years but this “tremor” has worsened significantly since her diagnosis of als. Both her hands shake to the point that she has trouble writing. I am wondering if others with als experience this shaking/tremor or if this may be completely unrelated?

I was diagnosed with ALS 2 years ago. I started having a tremor in my left hand before I was officially diagnosed. It has continued to get worse. It has even started in my other hand now. Its become difficult to write anything and sometimes to hold a cup or anything else. Its part of the illness. God bless
