I was encouraged by a report on ABC news the other night on the use of Provigil (modiodal), a drug normally prescribed to treat narcolepsy, being used off-label to treat fatigue among other things. The drug seems to have few serious side effects. I did a bit of surfing and found that Patients Like Me did an extensive study of the drug in 2009.
Modafinil Report for Patients Like You
Several hundred people, mostly those with MS, but also some with ALS, reported their results. Most were taking it to treat fatigue during the day and most reported "moderate" or "major" benefits from so doing. Some have been taking it for many years.
I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with it.
