Your Welcome Peggy . Thats what the word Support means . I think anything no matter how small it may be important to someone else . I would indeed get a Supplemental But once your on SS Disability if you go to their web site they will have some supplemental insurances i beleive on there . My Humana they take out $80.00 per month i have a PPO ,if you get HMO its free but ive found Docs. like to play God on HMOs and they get to tell you where and when you get to go to a specialist . On PPO i get to chose what tests i want and when . They will not order tests when you want them to . I get out everyday if i can and work in my yard or we have a Clubhouse where guys meet to play pool or just watch TV or swim or we also have a workout room . Does he have Hobbies ? An excersize i learned at Mayo is to stand at a counter and push up to your tip toes and then down several times this works on the Leg muscles . I have no weakness per say just alot of Stiffness . Excersize is Great but if you get outside and just pull weeds in the garden ,being productive has alot to do in making you feel at least your not doomed . Always find what you can do, Not what you cant do. When i retired at the same time i got this i wanted a part time job to pay for insurance etc i could still do things ,i went to Unemployment Office and now they fill in Info with Computors ,well i knew very little about them and the guy there made me feel like i was an idiot . I went home and walked in the door and told my wife im getting a computor ( i'll show you ) i learned to Navigate and taught myself what to do . Never say you cant . God Bless Geo
