I finally finished reading our Tillie's book, Overcoming Loss by 1000 Deaths. Wow. I started it several times, but wasn't able to read it until I left home for my week of respite. I had to be away from ALS to read her story, and it was incredible. So honest, so intimate, so much truth.

I see that she's about to have an official book launch. There's a video on her Facebook page (search on the name of the book while on FB).

The details, the stark reality that she has shared with us here is published for the world to read. I've already passed it on to one family member with a caution. It's not an easy read, even if you've already lived it. At the same time, it's fabulous.

I am thru the first 4 chapters. While easy to read writing wise, I find myself thinking and remembering. The emotional side is very hard for me.

I want to read, but not yet...I liked your page tho Tillie!! Nice to see you.

Tillie, as you know I have read your book twice now and it has been so comforting to me.. Your story was so well written and you did a wonderful job preparing me for 2hat is to come. This forum is so very lucky to have you here. Your struggle was so very tough but you were even tougher. I can't imagine coming through this journey and being as strong and dedicated to this fight. You my friend are a wonderful inspiration to me each and every day.

My sister just finished reading the book and called to ask me if there was anything I wasn't telling her :). I reassured her that we have no signs of behavioral issues from FTD, but it's clear that she has a much better understanding of what we are facing. Thank you again, Tillie (Affected) (Katrina). You are amazing.

Thank you so much everyone.

I had my official book launch last night, and three other media interviews through the day so I'm pretty exhausted.

Anyone interested can put the book title into fb and there is a page.

The specialist who looked after Chris is in a video there talking about why he feels the book is important to health professionals so they can give their patients far more effective care.

The entire launch was filmed, and it will go up online.

I'm not trying to 'sell' the book to anyone here, but I am so grateful that the very first person who actually got a book in her hands was scaredwife and the timing seems to have been perfect, as it was right when she joined here and needed help badly.

I find it interesting that some people just can't put it down, and others have to read it in small chunks over a period of time.

Love you all, and I want to add that I see my role as supporting here on a daily basis, rather than pushing a book, but it is something special for me to hear your love and support xxx

I am one of the, couldn't put it down and read through in one session readers. It was an emotional and thought provoking read.
Thank you Tillie
