Hello PALS and CALS,

I recently ran across the mention of a "lopez valve" on another website. I was curious, ordered one from Amazon, tried it out, and wrote a short review of it on my blog.

There seems to be very little talk of it here on the ALS forums, when I did a search, the only thing that turned up was a thread from 2009.

This gadget could make life with a feeding tube easier for some. Its not ideal for me, but I can see its value.

Here's the link to the review:

Hi,

I use the Lopez valve. I have a Cook pigtail g-tube. Their is no bolster, bumper or clamp on my tube so the valve is perfect. It is bulky, so when I'm finished a feeding I disconnect it and cap off the g- tube.

There was a valve either the same or very much like that one on the original peg tube Chris had fitted. It was the only way to clamp it off.

Thanks for reviewing it :)
