Not being in the situation it is difficult for me to understand why one would not take advantage of a walking aid to facilitate walking. For my mom I think it's a sign of no turning back to normal walking.
BethU, you are fortunate enough to still not have your legs impacted and be able to assist your husband. How difficult it must be to both be ill. Good call on the hair!
