The March of Faces Banner was established by a PALS and his caregiver in July, 1997 in the United States. The ALS Society of Canada joined as a Community Member in 2002 as a 25th Anniversary project of the Society.

This is an extraordinarily powerful visual awareness tool in advancing the cause of ALS, and PALS in general, by personifying the disease to the uninformed public.

If you are a Canadian living with ALS or had a family member with ALS, we invite you to add a portrait to our project. There is no charge to persons participating in the ALS March of Faces project.

This project has turned into one of the very best awareness tools that we have to date with over 700 participants in Canada alone. Where the Banners are displayed there is always a great deal of interest. Some of the Provinces are now getting Regional and Chapter Banners printed which greatly increases the interest in them. I know that it is a hard decision for some to take part, but please consider the awareness that it does raise.

The participants can be seen at www.als.ca & www.alsindependence.com for further instructions and permission forms please contact:
