I started with muscle twitching which is now all over body in April. Recently it's moved to my neck and I'm having tongue fasciculations.

I went to see a neurologist last week. I have hyperflexia in my knees, EMG and NCS normal. Because of the tongue and body fasciculations he's sending me for 2nd opinion to a neuromuscular specialist.

I am terrified as I'm a mom and want to be here for my kids.

Could this be als or bulbar als?

He did no testing on tongue except have me move it around and look gorgeous twitching. Could the body EMG have been done to early and would it show bulbar als?

Thank you

Not supposed to say gorgeous twitching, don't know how that got there.

Try reading here really carefully, it works best to read it twice as there is a lot in this post and it really deals with your concerns.

Let us know what the 2nd opinion says, but as the link will show you, there is no reason at all to jump ahead with fears.
