lgelb, I don't think I have ever made a carte blanche Syn. suggestion. I did recently offer it as an option to one person here, and I did so for a specific reason.
The people patients and families interface with the most (in my case it's a social worker) have been, together, collecting local resources for all the places where they have PALS. Mine has given me suggestions for my area and some of these have been helpful. (Some I knew about already.)
