I just got four of these, and really like them

I belong to a yahoo group (blenderized-diet) and a member posted about finding 120ml syringes. (the ones I've always used, and are standard issue are half that volume) The syringes are actually a gourmet food prep tool for "spherification", not medical equipment.

The improvement is not earth shaking, but, it does make feeding time easier for me because:

1) I have a larger error of margin for pouring into the syringe, as the diameter is a little larger, and the top of the syringe also has a wider lip.

2) It holds 4 ounces/120 ml, half a meal for me at one sitting, which makes it easier all the way around.

They can be purchased online at the Modernist Pantry. The cost was $7.48 each—currently shown as out of stock, btw. There is a first order/new customer promo code for free shipping, enter "shipfree" at checkout.

I am in no way affiliated, but would never have been able to find these by myself, I'd tried in the past, and given up. So, I wanted to share here :)

I gravity feed, and took the plungers out, but they do come with plungers.

Attaching comparison photos—as a bonus, you get to see a picture of Phoenix. The ornery cat refused to budge (anyone who's ever lived with a cat knows how determined they are to lay on anything new, and I'd spread out some fabric for a project lol)

Tis isn't really a reply but a thank you to Rose. I am coming to the end and was having trpuble dealing with it today. Rose'e quote about its being about how you carry the load was just what I needed to read right now. I forgot that muy glass was still half full today and every day if I remember to let it be. Thanks a bunch

Rose, thank you! Fran often spills when feeding me, especially since they switched the liquid food from cans to something like juice boxes. They are much easier to open now, but for some reason Fran can't get them to pour straight, and the food ends up ON my stomach instead of IN my stomach. The wider mouth of the larger syringe might help.

Keep that glass half full, Flyby.
