I ‘ve been sent information from my clinic on participation in a study using inosine to increase urate levels and see if it’s tolerated and benefits PALS. If I qualify I think I would be willing to participate. Any one with experience or knowledge have any comments???

Higher levels have correlated with slower progression and inosine should raise them. Early on my neuro suggested trying inosine ( the studies hadn’t started) but a blood test showed mine was naturally high anyway

As long as you don’t have a history of gout or kidney stones worth exploring though you could get a blood test and buy the supplement and know you have the real thing. I believe in trials. It is the only way we will get the answers we need but inosine is available without prescription if someone will follow your blood work
