has anyone been there and received the treatment and had good results? im going to China in may for stem cell treatment and they have had great results. but now I hear of the place in los Angeles called stem cell of America. just want to know if anyone has been there.

No personal knowledge. A search immediately popped up stem cell of america scam. Their page claims to treat a host of disorders" and others." Their about us page does not yield physician names or credentials.
The place in China has had great results? What proof do they offer? Have you met anyone who has had the treatment at the facility you are going to? There have been many horror stories of experiences with China and stem cells.
I hope your experience is better and wish you the best.

My husband is currently receiving stem cell treatment in Mexico, we tried all the clinics: Cell Institute (they don't take patients with ALS), Brainstem (israel) currently on trial, Universidad de Monterrey (currently working in trial). No door was open, this was our only hope. The progression has been fast so we decided to go because we don't want to waste a day. He is receiving HBOT, Ozone therapy, IV Glutathione and Vit C, and after 10 days with that he will receive the stem cells. I promise to share the results.

>I promise to share the results.

Thank you! Hoping it worrks ...

km2149, I recommend you discuss the stem cell therapy with an ALS specialist. Maybe see the Mayo clinic before making a decision.
You can find the legitimate researchers by googling "als stem cell research."

There are many scams. Just google "stem cell of america."

ditto that!

heres the deal folks. wu medical center in Beijing China. it's fetalem cells they are the only stem cells that have any effect on most diseases. I have researched this for 3 months. I have talked to several doctorsand only 1 out of 5 doctors tried telling me it wasn't a good idea. most of them told me to go for it and also telling me fetal stem cells are the only ones to get. I've also talked to 3 people who have been to wu medical center that had a great results. from what ive learned is it will only help if your still somewhat functioning. I still can use my arms and legs not the best but still can. I receive 4 injections into 4 different areas of my spine and those 4 areas effect different areas of my body. mayo and a few others doing clinic trials is they are only injecting one area for each stage of the trial. at that rate it will take 15 years before it's approved that's pathetic. there gonna find out it works and helps but take way way way too long. when it could of been approved in a year or two. heres the other deal so many doctors are negative on any kind of ttreatment outside the U.S. is because there not in our shoes, won't admit our country is way behind on some medical treatments, and they want to be the ones making money off treating us, if we leave the country they lose money. there's a insane amount of greed n our country and medical world the money is in raising it and some kind of treatment, they can raise it but haven't found a treatment yet but there will never be a cure I repeat never be a cure, no money in curing als , sad thing is other countries use stem cells to treat sseveral diseases but our country won't get there heads out of there ass. Last thing is im going down fighting not just sitting around waiting to die or hoping a cure comes. im going down swinging trying everything possible. I got two little boys that need there dad . I'll die tryin not to die. sitting around is not trying.

if you read that report about stem cell of America it's just person who hates abortion and dogs on the doctor for using fetal cells. the reason im asking about them is I know the place in China has helped people didn't want to take a risk on stem cell of America instead of China when I don't know if there legit. it's easier to go to them than China but don't want to go to them and waste the money that I could of used n China

I know of another local PALS where we live that went through the Pines in south Fla. (a quick google will get you to it) I read over the web site and they use your stem cells removed and treated in the states then you and your stem cells are flown to Cancune mexico for re introduction (that part cant be done here, they can take out and do their magic but they can t put back in) and a holiday all rolled into one.
the site boast of it helping a nice list of ailments from Alheimers to wrinkles, ALS was not on the list but I am sure strong suggestions of it helping that as well are giving if asked, other wise the local retired doctor that went there for treament wouldnt have spent the money.
the first reports I heard through the grape vine where promising "saw him at a Christmas party and he was looking good, they say it h
as helped." ... but the only thing I hear now is crickets chirpping...... no one asks and they have stopped speaking of it.

we all got to do what we got to do, there is no wrong choice! God speed and keep us informed PLEASE!

>I'll die tryin not to die. sitting around is not trying.

I agree, but caution is advised. I was going to try the one at U of M, Amy Feldman, but they wouldn't take me because I was too far along. I was lucky, though, because even if the stem cells worked, my immune system would be shot. One fatal problem for another.

FWIW,

Max

Good luck, and be sure to let us know how it goes.

question MAX why would immune system be shot if stem cell worked...I don't understand the connection...eastern medicine works to keep immune healthy but never heard anything about relationship to stem cells

apparently embryonic stem don't match our bodies cells so research like Amy Feldman's, once done require ongoing immune system suppression drugs.

This is the I tried to get into: http://www.webmd.com/brain/features/als-stem-cell-patient-trial

The at the Mayo (from Israel) grows new stem cells from later stage stem cells from your own body and doesn't have the rejection problem.

I'm sure there is aa lot more to it, but that's a short on what I understand ...

-----
Because human embryonic stem cells are different from our own body's cells, or "allogenic," a normally functioning human immune system will attack these foreign cells. One way to reduce the body's "allogenic immune response" is to suppress the immune system with immunosuppressant drugs
-----

It was my understanding you have to "kill" off (chemo) the existing immune system aand replace it with the new, a Very simplistic explaination and possibly wrong, but back when we lookinto it that was my understanding

It is so encouraging to hear that people are really fighting to live.
