Hi Everybody,
With so much worry and anxiety all over the boards, I thought I would share this with everyone. A friend of mine sent me a beautiful card. As corny as it sounds, I have read it over and over as I find it truly comforting and uplifting. I hope it may do the same for some of you:

The Oak Tree
A mighty wind blew night and day. It stole the oak tree's leaves away. Then it snapped its boughs and pulled at its bark, until the oak was tired and stark.

But still the oak tree held its ground.

The weary wind gave up and spoke, "How can you still be standing Oak?" The oak tree said, "I know that you can break each branch of mine in two, carry every leaf away, you can shake my limbs, and make me sway. But - I have roots stretched in the earth, growing stronger since my birth.

YOU will never touch them. For you see, they are the very deepest part of me. Until today, I wasn't sure of just how much I could endure.

But now I've found, thanks to you, I am stronger than I ever knew.

awhhh, you are making me weepy! What is about these trees anyways? The Giving Tree does the same thing to me...

Oak Tree post

Dear Suzannj;

I just sent you a private message and then I read this beautiful uplifting post and cried. It is so true. I think we are only as strong as we believe. The mind is a powerful and amazing organ.. and it really helps to try to think positive, even when all odds seem to be against us. I am thankful for all the wonderful people who make up this site...before computers life seemed to lonely at times. It really helps to know that we're not alone. God Bless you and be well.

Angie
