I'm waiting for an appointment with a neurologist with suspected neurological disease, maybe ALs? For a few months now I've been having choking episodes, and lately weakness with fasciculations in my body. The weakness is worse when I walk. It seems like my legs are shaking and I feel like I'm losing my balance as if I'm going to fall. Lately the choking episodes continue. I have a lot of saliva in my mouth and my voice is getting different. I've noticed that the lateral tips of my tongue are different, as if it were atrophying, and I see some tremors in it too. I recorded a video of my tongue, can anyone tell me if you see the atrophy with the irregular tips on the sides and fasciculation.

Hi,
It's best to let your doctor assess changes to your body. When is your neurologist appointment? Sometimes, the wait is very stressful.
For now, it's best to keep busy and, if your swallowing gets too difficult, consult your primary care doctor. Swallowing difficulty can come from lots of different conditions, but it's still important to address it. You can try modifying your food/drink so that choking is minimized.

Thank you for your attention! My appointment with the neurologist is only on the 26th. But have you observed significant changes in my language?

We deleted the video since we do not review these.

If you have real speech changes, other people notice and comment without your asking.
