For those of you following the Thread “Shoulder Subluxation.”
Put it here not to disrupt the Wednesday Roll Call ALS Only.
Mods… move it if need be.

(I mentioned scar tissue in a previous reply.)

Something not covered. Scar tissue. Have a friend who had a
nagging shoulder problem. He was very athletic, soft ball,
tennis, tag football and work outs. He had hurt his shoulder
several times over the years. Time caught up with him where
his shoulder was in constant pain. Went to a good Ortho doc,
he saw there was a problem… did an MRI. Nothing showed
up. Went to PT numerous times. No success.

Finally the Ortho decided to go in… Orthoscopic.

Scar tissue… apparently the MRIs weren’t picking up a scar
tissue built up over an certain injury or a combination of more
lesser ones.

The Ortho surgeon removed the scar tissue that was apparently
pressing a nerve or something… success.

Wrote all that to say this… something to consider for those
who have a nagging shoulder problem. Maybe a shoulder
injury you got over with rest or a sling in previous years with
time has come to roost with age, Even those with ALS and
other MNDs

It takes a good Ortho doctor to consider it.
