Hi, I have supposed "probable ALS". But I have some weird symptoms that the doc dismisses so quickly, and I wonder if anyone else has experienced anything like them.
When I shower and shampoo, about a minute after towel drying, I get horrendous itching of the scalp and palms of my hands. It does go away after a few minutes, but can drive you crazy while it lasts.
Also, sometimes I get a delayed response from touch on my skin, of acid burning feeling, and itchiness, sort of like after a bee sting.
And from wiping on the john:/
Anyone?

No. Not sensory symptoms of ALS.

Showering and shampooing remove natural oils and dry the skin, making it itchy. This happens to everbody.

I don't understand what you mean about the delayed acid burning.

You might be wiping TOO good, right on the rectum's tender flesh, causing micro-tears and fissures. This happens to people from time to time. It can get infected and get even worse.

I have never heard of anything like this being associated with ALS.
