I am 36 years old and I have, what I think, symptoms of als. I have had weakness in hands, arms and legs. I also have muscle jumping in my legs and hands. When I walk my leg muscles feel like I have climbed about 10 hills, lol and I can feel my shoulders, chest and hands trembling most of the time. When I sit and put my legs and feet together I am unble to keep my legs still and they jump and tremble and feel the same as when I am walking or climbing stairs. I even have an annoying thumping in my right temple that drives me nuts. The past few days I have become weak when standing and after I do anything physical, I even have to sit after I carry laundry downstairs. Could this be als or something else?

You need to see a als specialist or neurologist as soon as you can. you can have als or something treatable like lymes disease But you need to go be tested . There is no way anyone here can diagnose you. see a professional and good luck Pat1

Oh, no, I know that I cannot receive a diagnosed here, I just needed some input from people that have and are experiencing als. Thanks so much.

Have the symptoms came all at once, suddenly or spread over how long of a time?
AL.

I have noticed them here and there for a few months but very evident now. I was having problems tonight holding a plastic bowl, it felt as if it was too heavy to hold onto.
