20M here. I started recently noticing some suspicious signs with my right hand's fine motor skills. I cannot pinpoint what exactly is the problem, since daily activities are still doable but fidgeting and turning objects feels harder than usual. Quickly I started feeling like my right hand is weak (although I just earlier did arm training with no noticeable difference) and I have had some twitching in my right hand today, but also in other places. I aknowledge that the last symptoms might just be caused by anxiety. Is overthinking probable or is there a reason for the worrying?

Thanks

Hello-

We ask that people read here first- Read Before Posting. The first thing recommended is a visit to a physician if you have worries about your health. They can conduct an exam to look for concerning signs. Going straight to ALS because your hand feels different to use somehow is definitely an indication of anxiety about health.

ALS is about muscle failure or inability to perform a function you once were able to do. There are many reasons for a hand to feel different- I'd get a proper assessment and let your doctor guide further exploration. Dr Google is notoriously bad at providing appropriate medical care.

Take care

I'm sorry, I should have read it more closely, I didn't notice all the important parts earlier. However, knowing that just feeling this way isn't likely ALS is calming anyways.

Thank you.
