Hi! I have posted before but wanted to ask a new question based on symptoms.

My right leg is definitely smaller from the foot to the butt. The entire leg is smaller and I get discomfort on the outside of my foot, ankle, and it feels unstable. It is harder to balance on that leg when standing. I have loss muscle in entire right leg from ankle to butt.

The best way to describe my situation is that I feel unstable in that foot. I have been to physical therapy which hasn't help much. I have had an EMG back in September (1 year from symptoms starting) and they never sent me the results but the neurologist (he was easy to find so not sure he is the best) did do an EMG and he said it was normal and definitely not ALS. He did the test in less than 10 minutes though on that leg so not sure if I should re-do? I've had MRI on lower back and entire leg, both came back with no issues.

I do have Psoriasis so I am wondering if this could be psoriatic arthritis? Would it cause issues like muscle losss?

I do not have clinical weakness based on the tests done by neurologist and I do not have any reflex issues. I have had twitching but not consistent everyday or anything bad.

Should I ask for a new EMG as the leg has not gotten better?

See below. If you do have PsA, yes, it can be associated with muscle loss, especially in osteoporosis. I would therefore consult with a rheumatologist, and make sure your bone density has been measured if only re general health, but there is still no reason to think of ALS nor to redo the EMG.

I would also consult your PCP about a healthy protein-strong diet.

Since your concerns lie outside ours, closing your thread so you can focus on what's in front of you. All the best.
