Ok, here is a true story... just something to read.

a friend of mine (not me) who can very easily afford to do this stunt....

He went to a large package store that sells a lot of Lottery tickets.
They had just put out a new pack of $25 dollar tickets. There is 30
to a pack. Bought the whole pack... $750.00 dollars!

He just scratched off the bar code on each one. Of 30 tickets...
One hundred and eighty bucks... $180.00 dollars! Mostly $40
$50 and a $75 winners.

So, they put out another new pack and he bought that pack!
Fifteen hundred dollars.... $!,500.00 dollars in now.

Three hundred and $40 dollars. $340.00 dollars. One $100 dollar
winner, the rest were $40, $60 and $75s.

I could get into the odds mathematically but I'll keep it short...
the odds posted on the back of the tickets doesn't add up to
reality.

Should the whole Lottery system be investigated? YES.
Will it ever happen? NO. Politicians who once were against it...
now love it. The big winners get bombarded with requests for
donations.

A local guy did win $4 million dollars. After all taxes he ended
up with about $230 million dollars... out of $4 million.

Lady Luck... yes you can buy a single ticket and it may change your
life forever. I've had times where I've thought she was ill with
me for some reason. But... we've made mends too. :)

Last tip... if you win BIG and you are in your later years take the
lump sum. If you are in your 30s or 40s... take the annuity.
In years to come you won't be broke again like so many have
gone back to. Taking a lump sum over the years... TAXES will eat
your money away.

Anywhooo.... :)
