Hello, Three months ago I started with shortness of breath and trouble sleeping. All lung tests are good and
limbs emg is clean. So I decided to do a back with chest muscles where 3 back muscles were found with spontaneous activity that my doctor described as normal.

I feel that the muscular activity at rest is not normal but none of the doctors has told me that in this case it is because the graphs do not show denervation according to him.

I attach the images of the emg so that please help me and see if I should worry about this.

If someone shows me how is the spontaneous activity at rest relaxed with als, I would be very grateful

Thank you so much

Resume:

Normal

EMG of paraspinal muscles with data of spontaneous activity without denervation patterns.

Limb emg without abnormal spontaneous discharges, normal voluntary muscle activity

Is possible spontaneous activity without denervation?

Hello-

Can you please re-post the images with your identifying information blacked out? Also, please provide any doctor summary of these results.

I re-uploaded the images! My doctor tells him that spontaneous activity is not denervation, so I am very confused.

Please look at the images again and obscure every bit of identifying information. Your information is still visible.

i did re-upload the images

Junior, I have removed the second image, as you have not removed all identifying info. Please also include the summary provided by the person doing the EMG.

. If you want us to comment you need to post the chart with columns and the summary. No one can tell anything from tracings

Done you can help me.

Normal

EMG of paraspinal muscles with data of spontaneous activity without denervation patterns.

Limb emg without abnormal spontaneous discharges, normal voluntary muscle activity

My question es possible a muscle with spontaneous activity without denervation?

You still did not post the chart but yes certainly we have seen people with isolated spontaneous activity that is meaningless. There is much more to an ALS emg than just spontaneous activity. Your emg was interpreted as normal so whatever they saw was clearly not worrisome

My study only show that! But for me is strange that exist spontaneous activity without denervation pattern but you say that this has happened so. that you recommend me?

You don't have ALS. A big congrats to you! I hope you can be grateful for this wonderful news.

Why is this strange to you? Are you a neuromuscular specialist? I believe your questions have been answered as to spontaneous activity. I hope you can be assured by this good news.

All the best to you and take good care.

Thank you all for your responses!

I will let you know if there is any news

result = normal
only your doctor can help you with this, all the very best

You've already been given the news that you do not have ALS. There's no need to update further as hanging around this forum can be anxiety inducing for those with unfounded fears of having this disease.

I wish you the best and good luck to you
