I was diagnosed with Benign Cramp Fasciculation Syndrome in February 2017. I started having severe cramps, large twitches, and many fasciculation's in the summer of 2016. I also started stumbling and dropping things and having difficulty typing. The dropping things and typing difficulties were ascribed to constant tiny fasciculation's in my hands that the neuro could see.
I had 2 " Clean EMG's" and was diagnosed BCFS with follow up Q3 months.
This summer I broke my right foot and went into a boot. I immediately realized It was almost impossible to use my left foot to lift myself up the stairs. My ortho surgeon noticed my left calf is 1 inch thinner than my right calf. I went to my back doctor who it treating me with steroid injections for compressed disks and pain on my right side. He said it was unusual for me to have radiculopathy and NO PAIN on the weaker side, he said it should hurt- he referred me back to my neuro, and also gave me a number of a stem cell specialist in Long Island. I do have an appointment on 9/11 with my neuro for a new EMG.
