For those who may follow NASCAR racing or are familiar
with it,,,
For the first time since 1970 they are racing on dirt at Bristol
Motor Speedway. They covered the current concrete track with
dirt for this race. Bristol is like a huge bowl stadium, They are
now having just practice.
The dust is so bad the TV cameras can hardly see the cars going
around. The whole stadium is in a thick fog of red dust.
There will be and are fans there. The fans have been encouraged
to wear goggles and masks (beyond COVID). The open seats in
the stadium are already covered with red dust… this is just
practice for a race tomorrow and Sunday.
The race stadium has seating for 100,000+... I think attendance
is limited for this event because of COVID
Around the concourse, entrances for/to seating, before you walk through
are big signs…
NO SMOKING OR VAPING ALLOWED
(“The fans have been encouraged…” You know there’s going to
be many beer’d up Red Necks (male and female, hopefully not
their kids) will be saying, “I don’t need no f @#*g mask or goggles”)
