Hello.
I have a quick question about this disease that I would really like too know: Are the fasiculations usually in area where there is weakness, or are they more widespread when in the early stages of ALS?
Thanks A Lot:).

Hi Dutch. Welcome to the forum. My fasciculations started in my calves and my arms were the weakest point at that time. I'd have to say they can be widespread rather than muscle specific. AL.

When I suffered an injury to my neck I lost sensation in my arm along with what I described as loss of motor control. Shortly after the weakness I began having fasciculations in that arm and shoulder. Then my right arm got weaker and weaker and once again the fasciculations followed. The same with my legs .I think the weirdest thing about ALS is that it affects everybody differently. That's why it's so hard to detect .
